If I had to say why I study that career, I can say: because first at all I love the English language, because it's one of the most important language to worldwide, and it is fascinating in all the sense. Second at all, people is able to work in almost all the jobs. Besides you can commuticate easier in watherver place of the world, and the last thing I can say, is that I love to teach this language, so, as soon as I finish this career, I want to work as a Teacher again and later as a Proffessor, for giving tools and Knowledge to those that want to learn it, and improve the English Language.

UNIT SEVEN (PROBLEM SOLVING)
Unit seven begins with questions to four people who try to do things by themselves, for saving money. For me it's kind of funny, because those little stories, remind me of us, I mean: Dominicans. A dominican person is the kind of person who thinks that can do everything by him or her self. (HANDYMAN). Sometimes it's true that people save money solving problem by theyself, but sometimes it isn't like that, because they can worsen things, and later have to look for a professional in that area, and have to pay more.
In this unit we learned about the grammar Causitive get and have. Some examples:
1-I get my stylist to cut my hair.
2-I was to busy this month, so I had my husband do the laundry.
3-I get my clothes ironed at the laundry.
4-He's having money earned honestly because he works.
The other grammar was; need +passive infinitive and need + verb + ing. Examples:
Her cellphone has been damaged, it needs to be fixed. Or
Her cellphone has been damaged, it needs fixing.
We learned this vocabulary:
Leak: a hole in a conteiner or covering through which contents may accidentally pass.
Fall off:a decrease in something.
Scratch:to cut or damage a surface or your skin slightly with or on something sharp or rough.
Loose:not tightly fixed in place;able to be detached.
Dent:a slight hollow in a hard even surface made by a blow or pressure.
Stain:a colored patch or dirty mark that is difficult to remove.
Hole:a hollow place in a solid body or surface.
Torn:to separate parts of or pull apart by force.

Summary of Unit 6
In unit six, we saw and learned about the past perfect.
In What Can We Use Past Perfect?
We can use past perfect to talk about things that happened before an event in the past, and also for giving explanations or reasons why things happened.
For example: 1) My sister had studied at college when I studied in high school.
2) I was bored until she had told me a funny joke.
The other grammar we learned in this unit was So and Neither.
We had practiced this a lot, because is usual the use of So and Neither.
Which Verbs Can Be Used In An Answer?
Do/To be/Have/Can, etc. in present or in past.
For instance: 1) She is smart. So is he. 2) They have the flu. So has Robert. 3) he can't sing cute. Neither can they. 4) Yani didn't eat her lunch. Neither did I.
But also we can use too and either. For example: 1) Mike likes spaghetti. I like it too. 2) She isn't mexican. I'm not either.
Also we learned about other grammar. It was that you can never put an abjective finished with ed, with an object, when the adjectives are finished with ed; it is just for people. Other point we learned about adjectives, it's that some of them can be used as a verb. When an adjetive is becomed as a verb, it ends with en. For example: Dark - Darken.
Another thing that we were talking about, were superstitions: such as what it means. It means a practice that is not based on facts or events that can be proven. Also we told if in our country, there are superstitions or if we believe in that kind of things. Ofcourse there are, for example: If it rains and the sun is shining at the same time a witch is getting married. We learned about some superstitions around the world. For me the more interesting, was the turkey's superstition: it was that your wish will come true if you stand between two people with the same name.

Unit 6. Strange Events
Hi everyone! As you may remember, unit 6's name was Strange Events and we learned many things like how to respond with: SO AND NEITHER.
Remember:
If someone says something positive and we agree, we can use So.
If someone says something negative and we agree, we can use Neither.
Another thing that we learned was: THE PAST PERFECT USE, which we use to talk about things that happened before an event in past, and also is often used to give explanations or reason about why things happened.
On this occasion, and referring to the name of the unit: Strange Events, i want to share a strange experience that happened to me, and i'm going to use the past perfect for you to know how you can use it.
Here we go!
It had happened to me the last Valentine's day that i celebrated. My friends and i usually get together that day and we give a present to each one. I had looked for a special present for my friend Julia, the strange thing was that she gave me the same gift i had given her! That was kind of crazy! 🎁😆
Well, that's all for today, I hope you liked this post guys. Bye-bye!👋

Introducing myself.
Hi everyone. Today i have the opportunity to write a little about me. First of all, my name is Fransheska Arias, i was born in Bonao, Dominican Republic and i'm 21 years old. I live with my grandparents and my parents live in Santo Domingo. A question that people almost always ask to me is: If your parents live in Santo Domingo, why do you live in Bonao? Well, I have lived with my grandparents since i was 3 years old, so i can say that they are my parents and therefore i call them Mom and Dad. I love them!
I consider myself a friendly person who loves to meet new people no matter the place they are from. Because of that, i love to travel around my country and meet different people. I chose Modern Languages as a my profession because i have dreamed of traveling around the world, and i think that if i'm going to travel i have to learn some languages.
In the summer of 2015, English Immersion Program gave me a scholarship to study in an Intensive English and U.S Culture Program in Dryden, New York. I went there and i came back to D.R with a lot of knowledge about speaking, listening, reading, writing and U.S culture. That trip gave me the opportunity to have my first job. Since August 2015 i have been working for the Ministry of Education of Dominican Republic (MINERD) teaching English to students from 4th grade to 8th grade. At the same time i'm working, i'm developing and improving my skills in this language and that makes me so happy.😁
Well, i hope you have enjoyed reading a little about me and see you soon guys!👋
