Unit. 9 Material World

As you can remember, in Unit 9 we saw the topic Material World. In this Unit we learned about possesions and money (how good are we at managing our money), reported speech (to say what someone has said), reported questions (to say what someone has asked), etc.

Today, I want to show you how to use Reported Speech.

Direct Speech: You are a very busy person.
Reported Speech: Fransheska said that you were a very busy person.

Direct Speech: She studied a lot for the test.
Reported Speech: He said that she had studied a lot for the test.

Direct Speech: He wants Chinese food.
Reported Speech: She said that he wanted Chinese food.

Direct Speech: Maria haven't found her keys.
Reported Speech: Juan said that Maria hadn't found her keys. 

Direct Speech: She have been working in the project.
Reported Speech: He said that she had been working in the project.

Direct Speech: I can't play the piano.
Reported Speech: She said that she couldn't play the piano.

Direct Speech: I will travel to New York.
Reported Speech: He said that he would travel to New York.
